- 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar, halved)
- ¾ pound deli-cut chicken
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ½ to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 large egg white
- Poppy seeds (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together softened butter, yellow mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
- Slice each mini croissant in half lengthwise. Spread the butter mixture inside each half.
- Layer with a slice of cheese followed by some chicken.
- Replace the top half of each croissant and brush the tops with egg white; sprinkle poppy seeds over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 18 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
