  • 4 slices turkey bacon (or plant-based alternative)
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 8 oz mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients: Dice the chicken, chop the turkey bacon, onion, garlic, and slice the mushrooms.
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy (5-7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add diced chicken seasoned with salt and pepper; cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Add onion and garlic; sauté until onions are translucent. Then add mushrooms and cook until softened.
  5. Push ingredients to one side of the skillet. Add butter until melted, sprinkle flour into melted butter, and whisk for about 1 minute.
