  • 16 pecan halves

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9 inch cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. In another bowl, combine sugar, pumpkin puree, oil, milk, and eggs until smooth. Gradually add dry ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
  5. For caramel sauce, melt butter and brown sugar in a pot over medium heat with heavy cream until boiling; stir in vanilla and cool.
  6. Toast pecans in the oven at 350°F for about 7 minutes.
  7. Beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth; add whipped cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
