  • 7 cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and remove stems from the grapes. Crush them in a large pot to extract juice.
  2. Boil the crushed grapes over medium heat for 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to obtain about 5 cups of grape juice.
  4. Pour the juice back into the pot and mix in the powdered pectin. Bring to a boil.
  5. Add all 7 cups of sugar at once, stirring until dissolved. Maintain a rolling boil for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Check consistency using the cold plate test; if ready, jar it up!
  7. Ladle hot jelly into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
