Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually combine the dry mixture with the buttermilk until just mixed.
  5. For the cinnamon filling, blend brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to form a paste.
  6. Layer half the batter in the pan, dollop on cinnamon filling, swirl gently, then top with remaining batter.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cooling before drizzling with vanilla glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
