- 2–3 Tbsp milk (for glaze)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and brown sugar.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
- Gradually combine the dry mixture with the buttermilk until just mixed.
- For the cinnamon filling, blend brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter to form a paste.
- Layer half the batter in the pan, dollop on cinnamon filling, swirl gently, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cooling before drizzling with vanilla glaze made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
