  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 5 carrots (peeled and cut into chunks)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large Ziploc bag, combine beef, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme. Shake well to coat the meat evenly.
  3. Sear the coated meat in the hot oil until browned on all sides.
  4. Slowly stir in the beef broth and add carrots and bay leaves; bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 45 minutes.
  6. Add frozen peas five minutes before serving; remove bay leaves.
