  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed (or homemade whipped cream)
  • about 20 drops red food coloring
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup (104g) sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed (or homemade whipped cream)
  • 3/4 cup (180ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/2 cup (58g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease baking pans.
  2. Mix dry ingredients for the chocolate cake; add wet ingredients and combine until smooth. Pour into pans and bake for 30-40 minutes.
  3. Prepare the strawberry layer by blending cream cheese and sugar; fold in Cool Whip. Spread over one cooled cake layer.
  4. Repeat with the vanilla layer using appropriate extracts.
  5. Stack layers: chocolate-strawberry on the bottom and chocolate-vanilla on top; top with Cool Whip.
