  • 80 g Unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 150 g Apple (measure after peeled and cut into small identical pieces)
  • A small amount of freshly squeezed lemon juice (drizzle the apple slices right after cutting)
  • 80 g Brown sugar
  • 60 g Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (or a mix of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg)
  • 60 g Water
  • 20 g Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 80 g Granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and combine with yeast and sugar; let sit until frothy.
  2. In a stand mixer, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and eggs; combine.
  3. Gradually add butter while kneading until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size.
  5. Prepare the apple filling by mixing apples with lemon juice, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon.
  6. Roll out the dough, spread the filling, and shape into a twisted loaf.
  7. Allow to rise again before baking at 350°F (180°C) for about 40 minutes.
